Andes Imperial & Amazon Lung Expedition (7 Days)

ANDES IMPERIAL & AMAZON LUNG EXPEDITION

The great contrast of Colombia: the viceroyal and pre-Columbian history of Bogotá with the vast greenery and wild biodiversity of the Amazon River.

Day 1: Arrival in the Capital

Reception in BOG and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Altiplano, Museums, and Zipaquirá

Monserrate, La Candelaria, and an afternoon visit to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá.

Day 3: Flight to the Lungs of the World and Journey through the Amazon River

Flight from BOG to Leticia (LET). Reception in the Amazon and departure by speedboat to Puerto Nariño. Night walk in the jungle.

Day 4: Tarapoto Lakes and Pink Dolphins

Navigation through the Tarapoto Lakes to spot pink and gray dolphins in their natural habitat. Visit to the community of Puerto Nariño.

Day 5: Ticuna Tradition and Arrival in Leticia

Visit to the artisan community of Macedonia (Ticuna ethnicity). Return to Leticia and a spectacle of thousands of parrots in Parque Santander.

Day 6: Trinational Circuit: Tabatinga and Santa Rosa

Walk through Tabatinga (Brazil) and navigation to Santa Rosa Island (Peru) for lunch featuring Peruvian Amazon cuisine.

Day 7: Farewell to the Amazon

Transfer to Alfredo Vásquez Cobo Airport (LET) for return flight.
