How to get there?

To get toTierralta, there are various options depending on your starting point. Below, we explain the most common routes from different cities in Colombia.

From Montería:

Land Route:As the departmental capital, Montería is the main connection point for any traveler heading to Alto Sinú. You should head to theMontería Transportation Terminal, from where do they leaveintermunicipal buses y shared taxisconstantly throughout the day. The journey lasts approximately between1.5 and 2 hours, traveling along a paved road in good condition.

From Sincelejo:

Land Route:For those traveling from the department of Sucre, the land route is the logical option, first connecting with Córdoba. The most advisable thing is to take abusfrom theSincelejo Transport Terminalwith a direct destination to Montería (a trip that takes around2 hours). Once you arrive at the Montería terminal, you will only have to make afast transferto take the final transport to Tierralta. Theestimated total travel time, including the transfer, is about4 hours.

From Bogotá:

Air Travel (Recommended):It is the most efficient alternative. It consists of taking adirect flightfrom theEl Dorado International Airportuntil theLos Garzones International Airport - Montería, which takes approximately1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon landing, you can move around intaxito the Montería transportation terminal and continue your journey by land to Tierralta.
Land Route:If the preference is to travel by road, you should get closer to theTransport Terminal S.A. (Salitre headquarters)and board abuswithroute to Montería. It is an extensive tour of approximately2 PM to 4 PM. Upon arriving in the capital of Córdoba, you will make the same land connection mentioned earlier to reach your destination in the Alto Sinú.
